The health benefits of meditation have long been sought after by individuals looking for an alternative way to reduce stress and clear the mind. I am here to tell you personally that meditation has made a huge impact on my life and my response to stress has been greatly altered!
One of the first questions I ask of my clients is if they meditate. Sadly, many people don’t because we believe we have to start out like a “professional meditator” and be able to sit cross-legged on the floor silently for an hour or more. The truth is that’s just not realistic in some of our busy lives. Also finding a quiet peaceful space can be a challenge as well. I personally have to sit comfortably and prefer a beanbag chair or soft folding chair for my sessions, because I know from experience that if I’m not comfortable, that’s all my mind focuses on! I also know that beginner sessions should be no more than 20-30 minutes.
So here’s what we are offering: Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm together we will learn how to quiet the mind. The first 20-30 minutes, I will be sharing the many health benefits of meditation and the impact it has on our Chakras. Individuals will be able to select different crystals they would like to incorporate in their session and pick a comfy spot to sit, either in chair or on the floor.
We will then begin a guided meditation for the next 20-30 minutes where I will walk your mind into the present and out of the regrets of the past and fears of the future.
I will also guide everyone through the Chakras and as a group we will cleanse & balance them.
Our ultimate goal is to encourage individuals to incorporate meditation into their lives on a daily basis. Sometimes we just need a little help getting started!
